Getting in to Pachmarhi

The first place you have to reach is Bhopal airport via flight and then reach Pachmarhi by Bus or Train.

Pachmarhi is around 54 km from Pipariya, a town where I live. Pipariya is on Itarsi-Jabalpur railway route. Pachmarhi is 210 km away by road from Bhopal. If you take a train, your destination will be Pipariya and after that you have to take a taxi for Pachmarhi.

Getting around Pachmarhi

At Pachmarhi, most of the places of tourist attractions are within 5-6 km, the best way of getting around is to hire a jeep (Gypsy). Gypsy can be hired through open market or hotel manages to have links with local Gypsy operators.

If somebody wishes to visit tourist points using his own vehicle, then its no problem, however, Two wheeler is not recommended.

Don't forget to bring extra clothes while visiting the falls at Pachmarhi. You can't remain undrenched after visiting a fall.

Pachmarhi is a great place for yummy gujarati, maharashtrian, and jian food. Chunmun cottage which is located near beefall and Pachmarhi lake is one of the best places to have food. It is easy to cover some of the nearby tourist points after lunch. Almost all kinds of food is easily available at Pachmarhi and no worry about food during your trip.

To have a drink, you can find many shops or bars in the main market. It is easily available in city market.
